Ken Schwaber is a co-developer and evangelist of an organizational process called Scrum. Scrum is basically a way of getting people involved in a project to work in “sprints” which optimizes development.
By the adoption of the Scrum philosophy engineers can better function. Ken mentioned that Yahoo uses Scrum during a recent Google Tech Talk session.
Ken also warns of how product management can put pressure on engineers to increase their velocity which lowers the quality of the product.
